Description
The Miano Brut from Castellucci Miano was born in an area of Sicily with an ancient wine-growing vocation. Since the 16th century the Valledolmo area was under vines and famous for the quality of its wines. The Catarratto vineyards are cultivated at an altitude between 700 and 1000 meters above sea level, on the steep slopes of the Valledolmo area. The estate has recovered many old historic alberello vineyards, which constitute an extraordinary heritage of clonal biodiversity. The cool and breezy climate is perfect for Catarratto, which in these conditions expresses very rich aromatic wines with a vibrant freshness. The Castellucci Miano labels offer a particular interpretation of Catarratto, fresh and fragrant, of great finesse and intensity.
The Charmat Method of Castellucci Miano is a Spumante Brut produced with grapes from vineyards of about 30/40 years, grown on sandy and clayey soils, rich in limestone. The harvest is slightly early and after the classic white vinification, the base wines are placed in an autoclave for refermentation according to the Martinotti Method. In the glass it has a light straw yellow color with a fine perlage. The olfactory profile recalls aromas of white flowers, orange blossom, citrus aromas, fragrant fruit and light shades of bread crust. The sip is taut, with a juicy fruit and a harmonious, fresh and savory finish. An ideal sparkling wine for an aperitif or to accompany seafood appetizers.
Notes of citrus and apple, peach and jasmine pulp with a background of yeast and bread. Refreshing with a creamy froth, balanced and decisive with a floral finish.
